How to revive objects?

The works of Katarzyna Pacholik bring us in the forest of Bialowieza. She explores different ways of perceiving time. While criticizing time being discontinuous in modern life, she finds eternity in the last primeval forest of Europe. Our paths are
crossing in the passion for the factors of time and life being integrated in objects.
Together we designed and built sculptures to be exhibited with her drawings in Spanish museums and galleries.
Forcing the objects to alter in a distinctive way, was the main part of the sculptural work. With fire and heat we developed a coaled and cracking surface, to be as dark as the drawings of the forest. Fascinatingly enough
the burned surface resembles a living tree bark.
Bringing life to a humanmade object, we placed growing plants in the burned objects. The Plants are allowed to grow and take over the sculpture.
